Pedal to the Medal
Although Max started out a bit distracted (refusals and
a displaced a bar) in the JWW course, he won his Novice Agility title in the STD course on Saturday with 3 qualifying
runs in a row, placing 1st twice and 2nd to a Border Collie. On Sunday, he had a beautiful run and earned
a leg towards his Novice Agility Jumpers title with a 3rd place finish. Yippee! He also had a great
run in the Open STD course other than getting 2 refusals on the same jump. It was all my fault because I was blocking
his view coming out of the tunnel and then had him too close to the obstacle for a second attempt.
Two Too Slow
In his 2nd day of being in the Open Class, Caleb earned his first
leg in the STD Course on Saturday with a 1st place finish. Hooray! He also had two flawless runs in
the Open Jumpers course but, unfortunately, was too slow to qualify. Something must have smelled really good (or
really bad) in the chute because Caleb insisted on sniffing around before exiting, on both days of the trial. This was
the same equipment used in a Demo we participated in a couple weeks ago that Caleb rolled around in like
a knuckle head. On Sunday, he displace a bar on the same jump that I had trouble with in Max's run followed by
2 refusals on the A-frame.
PS Attached is a cute pic of Max and his little gal pal, Annie.
Aren't they cute together?!
